As with any vehicle, you'll need state minimum liability coverage to drive a luxury car legally. Because you have a more valuable vehicle, you should expect to pay higher insurance premiums than you would for a regular car. I don't want to attract attention, and that's why I dyed my windows black and bought a black car. I just want the safest car that I can comfortably afford and that's also fun to drive.
Exotic car owners may also consider comprehensive protection, against collisions, medical payments or personal injuries, OEM coverage and breach insurance. While you may be able to get insurance with a standard insurance company, depending on the type of vehicle you have, you may need to seek coverage with a company dedicated to insuring high-end vehicles. If so, some auto insurance companies offer coverage for original parts, sometimes called “OEM coverage,” for an additional cost. All insurance products are governed by the terms of the applicable insurance policy, and all related decisions (such as coverage approval, premiums, fees and charges) and policy obligations are the sole responsibility of the insurance insurer.
If you have a luxury car, you must have at least the minimum insurance coverage limits required in your state, just like if you insure a standard vehicle.
